Project Name: Vancouver Kitchen Cabinet Makeover
Scope of Work: Painting of kitchen, bathroom and bar cabinetry throughout home
Location: Vancouver, BC
Complete: Summer 2015
– Joan G., Vancouver, BC
This stunning Vancouver estate in the Shaughnessy neighbourhood was in need of a bit of updating. The kitchen was stunning with a dark stone countertop and simple quilted cream tile back splash. However, the cabinetry throughout the house was a mix of painted white cabinets and medium tone solid wood. Updating all the wood cabinetry to match the white would help brighten the bathrooms and kitchen and tie the house together.
Warline custom matched the colour from the existing white cabinets. This was a large job with more than 70 doors and drawers in the final count. It required good coordination and planning to run this many cabinets through the shop simultaneously.
The existing knobs and handles were re-used because they worked well with the dark counters and black runner on the floor. One of the nicest accents on this kitchen is the coordination of the red leather back bar chairs with the red knobs of the stove. Simple but timeless.
For drama in the powder room the vanity was painted in a high gloss finish. The colour was Sherwin Williams Peppercorn SW 7674. This played nicely off the dark counter top and wallpaper in the space.
