Project Name: The Ferguson House Restoration in Surrey
Scope of Work: Exterior restoration and painting of heritage home
Location: North Surrey, BC
Complete: Summer 2012
– Anna D., Surrey BC
There are not of heritage houses left in Surrey. Most remaining ones are parts of farms and there are few that are well maintained. There are no grants for restoring heritage houses in Surrey and while there is a historical society in the city, they are not focused on preserving the old houses in the area.
But the Ferguson House had the right kind of owner. Anna saved for years to be able to restore the exterior of her house. When she was ready she called Warline for help. The repair work to the old wood was extensive. It involved the replacement of many shingles and a complete rebuild of the front railings and steps.
The prep work on the house was exhaustive and required working with our Festool sanding and dust extraction equipment to protect our crew from the lead paint dust. When the house was completed the transformation was remarkable. The before and after pictures are eye popping.
All colour were chosen from the Cloverdale Paint Artisan palette.
