Restoring a heritage house often includes updating and renovating a kitchen and that often means restoring wood. This beautiful New Westminster home was no exception. Warline was brought in to restore this kitchen to its original beauty. The old wood cabinets were carefully sanded and prepped. The entire kitchen was masked off and a ventilation system was installed. Sansin enviro ENS wood stain and clear satin lacquer was used. Using low VOC, waterborne products not only helped us produce stunning results but also protect the environment.
The combination of traditional lighting, a farm sink and simple white counters pulled together this heritage designed kitchen. The end result was an updated kitchen that fits in perfectly with this heritage home.
Andrea isn’t afraid to be daring when it comes to her kitchen makeovers. Steering away from the very popular white cabinets, she once again chose grey for the cabinet colour. We used Benjamin Moore Deep Silver (2124-30). The combination of the grey cabinets and the white counters with backsplash resulted in a timeless kitchen fit for a designer.
