Why Professional Colour Advice

The difference between hiring a colour expert and choosing colours yourself is comparable to cooking dinner at home or going to a good restaurant. Both are going to put food in your stomach but unless you are an experienced cook, the dinner you are served in a good restaurant is going to bring you more satisfaction and enjoyment.

Knowing colour is as much about experience as it is about theory. There are so many factors that can impact how a colour will look when it is on a wall. Colours change due to natural and artificial light, the surrounding features and even the floor.

For example, from years of experience, we can tell you that Benjamin Moore Stonington Gray always looks more blue against a dark hardwood floor and more gray when on a medium tone wood floor.
