Warline Painting Offers Homeowners Help through Vancouver Heritage Foundation's Historical True Colours Grant Program

Owning a Vancouver heritage home is often a labour of love. Extensive renovations and constant maintenance are usually part of the “joy” of owning an old Vancouver home. The good news is restoring one of these unique Vancouver homes can be rewarding in terms of both aesthetics and financial returns.
More good news is that the Vancouver Heritage Foundation is committed to helping homeowners restore and maintain these gems of the city. For homes on the heritage register, the Vancouver Heritage Foundation has two grant programs, Restore It and True Colours.

If your home requires exterior painting and restoration these programs could be for you. Warline is proud to be part of the Vancouver True Colours program and is an approved Benjamin Moore paint contractor, fully qualified and experienced in the restoration and painting of these types of buildings.

Applications for the grants must be submitted by February 1st of each year and approved applicants can receive up to $1,500 in funding plus free paint from Benjamin Moore. Approved applicants for the Restore It program can receive up to $2,000 for restoration of the exterior fabric of the building including masonry, shingles, siding, stucco and other exterior fixtures and elements.

Homeowners receiving these grants will benefit from a heritage consultant visiting the home to determine the original colour of the building and colours for repainting must be selected from the True Colours Palette or original to the building as per the consultant’s report.
