Project Name: A Perfectly Painted Lady on West 10th
Scope of Work: Exterior painting of residential heritage home
Location: 144 West 10th Avenue, Vancouver
Complete: Summer 2011
– John Davis, Vancouver, BC
The 100 block of West 10th Avenue has been voted more than once as the most beautiful street to live on in Vancouver. How could it not be? It is full of big old trees and beautiful old heritage houses. The painted lady at 144 West 10th Avenue is one of the prettiest painted ladies in the city.
Our team of painters were in heaven working on this colourful gem. Not only did they enjoy working on such a unique house, they got to showcase their craftsmanship in painting. A labour of love for a painter. It’s not very often a painter gets to pull out the artist paint brushes when working on an exterior.
This project involved more than 100 hours of prep but the results show in the workmanship. All the paint used was supplied by Cloverdale Paint and Warline had a crew of five working on this project.
The owner of this home, John Davis, has an incredible eye for colour and great colour combinations. There were four distinct colours used in variation combinations and each was custom made by the team at Cloverdale Paint.
The varying combinations of yellow, orange and green were used to create a visual flower garden on this house. It’s bright and cheerful without looking garish.
What makes us different than other Vancouver painting companies? First and foremost, it’s our commitment to exceeding our customer’s expectation every time. We only hire professional painters and our work isn’t subcontracted out. It’s our painters, under our supervision, doing quality work.
